home building: hvac begins

Probably the most boring photos ever. But to record our home building progress (since we will NEVER build a home again ourselves!), here are pics of my floor vent holes. HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) began on the 7th and those subs only took a few days to rough everything in and install our furnace. They will come back and do finish work and install the outside air conditioning unit near the end of our building process.

Have you ever lived in a home and wished a heating vent was just a few feet away or on the other side of the room altogether because it really messes up your furniture options? Or have you ever stood in front of a kitchen or bathroom sink and had your toes freeze because the air conditioning is blasting from a vent right at your feet? We have - many times! So this time around we got to decide where all the vents went. Really hoping that the locations that seemed logical to us at the time we decided are logical once we move in!
